Is there a way to overwrite a DS game card's information?
Ex. I want to turn one of my commercial DS games into another one by replacing the game.
Let's say....
Turn a Nintendogs: Lab and Friends into Fossil Fighters.
Why? You can't do the download for Fossil Fighters DLC on the Wii channel without having the card itself.
So Nintendogs is a game you don't really care about anymore, so you download Fossil Fighters ROM from somewhere and put it into the DS Cartridge with Nintendogs.
So, The program can work like this:
Insert the Acekard/R4/ etc. into your DS.
Go to the homebrew that will switch the games.
Activate the program, follow the instructions on screen, and when prompted, insert the game in there.

Problem however is that how is the program going to work without the Flashcard in there? Maybe the program can use wireless communication to exchange the data?

Anyways, it works, (the games are switched and you now have a Fossil Fighters game in your Nintendogs card) and you can download the DLC from the Wii Channel.

It is sorta a mind boggling idea, but eh, at least you can do things like that DLC I mentioned.

I have Fossil Fighters in my Acekard but can't get the DLC...

Actually, while BIOS are technically ROM, you can flash it to modify it...

Maybe we can flash commercial games?

Hopefully that wouldn't require opening up the cartridge or using expensive equipment.

and there is such homebrew that runs without the ds freezeing

that would be homebrew which is small enough to be stored in the 4mb of ram and will not require dldi to read/write to the msd card. you are going to be limited to a few older ds.gba projects and some 1st gen ds homebrew projects if you go that route.
