if i enable this, what exactly does it trim out of my roms?

is it worth trimming roms?/does it make them significantly smaller?

does it just rip out dummy data, or things like download play?

will cheats still work with my games if i trim them?

ROM trimmers are trimming empty space that is created due to default size of official Nintendo cartridges..
Lets say that some game has 42 MB in size, but the cartridge Nintendo uses has 64 MB of space (the one with 32 MB is obviously too small), so the rest of the space between 42 and 64 MB (that's 22 MB) is empty..
When people are dumping ROMs from officially carts, this "empty" space is also dumped, and that's where Trimmers come in..
For some games it's very worth trimming, and it makes them significantly smaller..It won't disable download play, and everything will work just the same way as before trimming (including the cheats)..
