As the title states how well does the GBC everdrive work with the gb boy color? For those who don't know it is a knockoff GB color system that has a backlight and built in roms, but also boasts 100 compatability with retail GBC carts.

Also where is the best place to buy GBC Everdrives from? . I live in Halifax Canada!

Finally, a quick question about EZ 4 for the GBA. I just bought the new Micro SD version and I was wondering if the Boktai games ( with sunlight patch) work on it with the standard firmware built into it or if I will have to downgrade to a compatable firmware. And does it read/write faster than the Mini SD version

    my dad works for nintendo.
    about ez iv:

can answer the boktai 2 works fine, in pretty much any firmware i had been playing it...
currently have the 1.76.. (its the best firmware....)

probably the read\write is the same speed.. because the limitation is the NOR, and they should have the same chip.. however tell me a game to test.. and i tell you how much time it takes to load a game with a class 10 kingston micro sd card (i have a micro to mini sd adaptor.. since my mini sd card was blocked because it is a non SDHC card)
if you play the same game and don't like to wait that seconds to load, copy it to the NOR (press start) you can copy several games into the NOR as long you have space on it, after they are in the NOR there is no loading

about everdrive GB can answer only about the shops
this is the official krikkz website, they do have their own shop
and a list of dealers on several countries including canada. any should be fine

which splashcreens? do you mean the skins on the flashcart menu?
ez team recently released a skin program for ez iv, you can costumize the skin, and i had seen members even asking other members to do that for them (for example the clearworks skins)

or are you talking about the splashscreens on the games (like intros)?

skins are inside the kernel file, that means, if you want a skin you need to inject it inside the .bin file and flash it..

i wouldn't recommend to use that kernel. its old and probably will give the NOR issue i had on mine because we got recent cards...

however in the download there is the files for the skin, all you have to do is grab them, get the new firmware, and use the ez skin program to apply them..., then you just flash the ez iv with this kernel and there ya go, you got that "splashscreen" with the new firmware.

no. the ez skin program is a computer program.
however i just checked it, and i am not sure if you can use it to inject into 1.76 firmware, since it was made with 1.75 firmware in mind..
i may give it a try later..

BTW, if you are using a micro SD HC (and don't have a card with less than 2gb) stop trying and asking about old firmwares, you will loose compatibilty with SD HC cards and are screwed up unless you find an old micro sd card....
