    Hi,

a friend got his Wii modchip, and the guy who built it in called the chip+software "Wiiskii".
Did someone ever heard of it? I absolutely cannot find a simple clue via google. But his
chip runs very fine. Games like Super Paper Mario or Cooking Mama are working great
    on his PAL Wii.

Is this some sort of Clone chip? And if so, is it a clone of Wiikey?

    Very strange...

    Yes, absolutely sure.

Maybe the guy who soldered it in got the wrong name. He got 2 chips. Wiiskii and WiiPu!
    Never heard of them before.

    I guess that's me [IMG]

Yes, the guy who modded my Wii called the chip "WiiSkii", not WiiFrii...the chip works fine (for now), and it was cheap, so I'm not complaining [IMG]

I also wonder if it's just an open-source chip, a clone, or actually an original chip...he built the chips by himself, and it's not commercially available, but he says it's not based on an open-source chip...
    puzzling, indeed [IMG]

Allright, after some talking i got the answer now. "Wiiskii" is a self-developement project of
the mentioned guy who soldered the chip in. He builts the chips himself and uses some
opensource software (afaik), i still dunno WHAT software exactly but hey, its working, and
it doesnt have more problems like other chips (non working japanese on PAL, "sometimes-working" US on PAL etc.).
I think it could be called clone, but a nice one [IMG]
