something really strange happened to me today
i was just walking, singing a rap song to myself that got stuck in my head (i like rock), had mah best clothes on (dont dress good lately since theres no reason for it) and i suddenly forgot who i was.
it creeped me out, it was twice as bad when than you have a deja vu, and four times as creepy
i randomly asked myself who i was and i couldnt answer and i actually forgot who i was for a split second.
my own name sounded weird to me...
i had to stop and remind myself who i was before i felt okay again....

anyone ever had this happen to you?

Errr, xcalibur, not to scare you, but you may want to see a doctor. Suddenly forgetting your own identity is not healthy.

Woh...yeah if it happens again you might want to see a doctor. Although i know what you mean about how your name sounds weird. It happens randomly to me but i am saying a word and it either doesn't sound right or look spelt right. Once i take a break and come back its back to normal though but its really creepy.

Yeah, a couple of times when I woke up from a deep dream.
It's maybe because of the languaje, I mean, probably your mind crossed cables for an instant?, too much stress perhaps?
Was it your first time feeling it?

You don't talk in english there in Egypt right?
What I mean with the language is that when you start thinking in other languages your mind could actually be starting to work other neurons that were previously sleeping.

thats true, i only speak english with family members and im kinda losing it a bit.... [IMG]
i cant wait till im back in england again, i can put arabic behind me once and for all since it is heavily starting to get on my nerves.
arabic is a tough language so people have created several dialects to make it easier on them but to be honest its just an insult to a damn fine language. and whats worse is that i have to talk their dialect or else they wont understand me.
the egyptian is probably the worst of them all...
these dialects are to arabic what pikey (brad pitt in snatch) is to english

Yes you would Win over your former self. So I guess you could be called: Winamptor.

On topic: Still, don't forget to tell your parents.
IMO is nothing to be worried about, tou... happening all of a sudden.... mmm. Tell your parents and see what they say about it.

    Amnesia?

... I sometimes forget where I am when I wake up, but it just takes a second to collect my thoughts. Maybe it's all these video games wearing off on us [IMG]

Sometimes I get whacked in the face when I realize (for the millionth time) that reality is real. It's hard to explain. It's like I think "Holy crap this is real" when doing everyday things.

OP, do you get those goddamned flu shots that every suprmarket and bus terminal is trying to force on you these days? I knew those things were trouble.

Actually, some schools of thought believe that to be the key to higher transition.

Shedding ego, identity, aspirations in favor of cosmic truth. Or some such shit.

    I've had experiences LIKE that...
    But it was along with:
    Looking in the mirror.
This is really me, I am no one else, and this is how I look.
... is this really how I look? that's really dissapointing..
I will never be that hot bloke girls talk about... and this is really my voice...
    and my name is Tim?

and it all was very distant at the moment... really creepy.. but normal I think... it's just a part of growing up... atleast my thing was (i think)...

    Quoted for deep, meaningful truth.

I think it's called "lucidity" but I could be wrong.. and yes it's happened to me on occasion.
