Hacking Even if you’re banned, you can still use the Eshop!

Just discovered something awesome (and completely on accident)

So I called Nintendo to appeal my ban, cuz, well, I was bored one day, lol. After cussing my way up to a supervisor, they inevitably told me they would request an appeal for the ban but made no promises (and idc really, but this part of the story is just for substance)

I normally purchase/request eshop titles from the Nintendo site on my iPad and they show up on my console automatically but for some reason since getting banned nothing was coming thru.. I knew I could update titles, so why couldn’t I legitimately buy eshop titles anymore? Nintendo doesn’t wanna take my money anymore? Lol hence why I decided to call.

Anyways, they told me that because I was banned I could no longer utilize the eshop legitimately, even if it was from other devices and even if I paid for a game. Total let down, right?

Well I figured it out -

So in your system settings, go to users -> select user -> and then scroll down and tap “update download progress”

Then anything you’ve opted in from the eshop that never showed will all start downloading.

I’m sure someone will find a way to spoof a console ID or something. Where there’s a will, there’s a way then we will be back online (although I never played online so it wouldn’t really change things for me)

Can't spoof it, Nintendo makes the IDs and they know the IDs they've made.

i think he's saying you could try to firmware spoof which would only work locally, and even if it did SOMEHOW work online, they could implement backend code in half a day that would disable that. The sad part this time is that nintendo is definitely on their game, so they c an probably out exploit anyone.

eXhop allows you to use the eShop despite being banned because banned consoles are allowed to make valid CDN requests through another server. The advantage eXhop has over the "Update Download Progress" option is that it can work on titles that you have deleted.

if your cart game cert was banned from online, you can delete game and redownlad game with freeshop/exshop and play online again. as new cert is made for the redownloaded game. i think this only works for games you purchased and installed previously,

theres no way this is true but ill try it, as soon as i figure out how to use it.

It doesn't actually undo the console ban, so its pretty much pointless since almost all cert bans have been followed by console bans.

It'll just get banned again, and then you'll risk the whole console. They have a server that tracks account purchases and logs, going online after re-generating a cert with no ownership is good way to get the whole system banned.

the whole system is already banned, it can't get more banned, but if what people are saying is true then i should be able to redownload and get access.

Then you're not getting online period.

This re-generates a cert for the game, not for the console. The console dauth is a one-off, if its banned its gone, that's written at factory. It has nothing to do with the eShop and game certificates.
