Hardware eShop asking for an update but I'm on 11.6.0-39U

Hi guys, I'm running Luma 8.1.1 and I'm trying to redeem a nintendo code from the eShop. It's asking me to perform a system update but I thought 11.6.0 was the latest. Would it be safe to do anyway? Thanks!

If you are on B9S, it is always safe to update.

EDIT: Not ALWAYS safe, but B9S is unpatchable, so you should be fine bricking-wise.

If you're on luma 8.1.1, you are on B9S.

It asks me too for an update (don't care enough to do it), so I thought I should post here. He's not alone. I'm on 8.0 Luma with 11.6 btw.

when turning on the 3ds hold select this should load you into the luma 3ds config screen what version does it say?
