Hacking ERROR: the drive or partition usb:/ is not connected! (CFG USB)

I have the modded version of CFG USB that can load gamecube games. They display perfectly fine in the menu but when I try to launch them I get an error which is the one in the title of this thread. I am using an SD card to load my games so why is this happening?
EDIT: just realised that after installing this mod my Wii games don't work either.

Unfortunately I just CANNOT find this mod anywhere on the internet anymore! However, I recently set up USB loader GC which works perfectly. Thanks for the reply anyway!

USB-loader in any form or setup or mod will just be the linker...
so the games show up, it doesn't mean it can load them, this is done by either nintendont or a cmios if it's about gamecube... in your case you need a dios-mios i think.
this is highliy unrecomended since it's buggy to begin with... it only works in perfect partition settings, witch is glitchy.
i'd recommand using a external hdd (note you'll need one non usb-powered hdd) and nintendont with original mios...

i'm not sure if cios-d2x is required, so might also need those installed.

Had the same error, thought I would share my solution.

(Booting everything from single microSD with SD adapter in front slot, added Nintendont for GC games)

From within USB Loader CFG modded:
Went into Settings>System>Default Gamecube

I had to set the default back to Nintendont, it reverted back to dios mios and was throwing the partition usb:/ error
