    Hello. I'm new to Switch homebrew. I'm able to get to the point where I can access daybreak in the hbmenu and update from the default firmware. After the system reboots and I load the cfw, it gets to the Nintendo Switch screen and then I get this error;
    Green Joy-Con D-Pad Shells for Nintendo Switch

    I then proceed to restore my NAND and try again with different firmwares and atmosphere versions, all getting this error at the same point.
    I'm using a 64GB SD formatted FAT32.
    Latest versions are in the error link.
    Please let me know if I can provide any other info to help solve this.

    Replied by accident instead of editing original post. Not sure if I can delete this message.

    Presumably you updated to firmware 11.X which introduces an update for your cartridge slot. Because of that, Atmosphere automatically applies the nogc patch which prevents the cartridge slot from being updated by disabling it. You have one of two options:
    1. Remove whatever is inside your cartridge slot
    2. Irreversibly update your cartridge slot which will prevent you from using cartridges on firmware versions below 11.X
