Hardware Error Message

I have copied a few games on to DVDs. I have a Pal Wii not updated to latest version with the Wiikey modchip and everytime I put a copied game in to the disc and click on the Disc Channel in the Wii Menu, it goes to a black screen and says "An Error has occured. Eject the disc and turn off the Wii Console. etc."

What is wrong? Please help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

have you played copies before?
are any of those copies working?
could be a bad burn....but could be virtually anything

I doubt it. I could always play copies, until now. I put in SSBB and it gives me the error message.
