Misc Error Code 51300 On Animal Crossing

Okay, so I'm trying to get my friend code for AC:WW, and I keep getting error code 51300. I've reset my router, and it also has WEP encryption, not WPA. I've put the password in correctly, and it still won't connect. Any insight into why this happens? It's a newer 2Wire router, and Animal Crossing is a store-bought game.

First you could temporarily disable the security and go with open and try to connect that way. If it does connect you can then rule out an incompatibility between your wireless router and the DS.

Next switch back on WEP but this time look to see if your router has an option that states authentication type with the two options of automatic or shared key. When I have that option set to automatic on my netgear I have the problem of some devices not being able to connect at all but when changed to shared key I could connect with every one of my devices without any problems.
