Epic Games announces Fortnite Crew, a monthly subscription service for Fortnite

A new feature is coming to Fortnite, in the form of a paid monthly subscription. When Fortnite launches Chapter 2 Season 5, it'll also debut Fortnite Crew, an $11.99/mo subscription, which gives players access to the game's Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks, and a special cosmetic outfit. Currently, access to the Fortnite Battle Pass on its own costs 950 V-Bucks, and lasts for multiple months which is overall a much cheaper price, however the items included within the Fortnite Crew monthly bundles are exclusive, and will not be obtainable through any methods other than subscribing. Fornite's next season, and the Fortnite Crew subcription will go live on December 2nd.

Nah he is just telling bullshit

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I know you're being facetious, but the game still is technically free to play. Maybe pay to win--but still free to play.
pay to win? what the fuck are you saying? XD

Do you even understand what it means? XD

Cue people crying about a game they don't play
Crying? Nah, but I will laugh at any sucker dumb enough to "subscribe" to Fortnite. Tim's just gonna spend that money filing more frivolous lawsuits against Apple, certainly not on improving the game itself or EGS. This drips with as much desperation as Fallout 76's "1st club."

You know what's even more dumb? Judging people on how they spend their money :)

You must lead a very pathetic life if you need to make yourself feel better by looking down on how people spend their own money lmao.

Do the "V bucks" and costumes do anything to enhance your character? I never played Fortnite.
You use V-Bucks to buy cosmetic items like skins, gliders, pickaxes, emotes.
There is no stats system in this game at all, all characters are the exact same (same hitbox, height...) except of course the looks.

Oh, then I don't see a big deal about this. If people want to fork over more money for purely cosmetic items, then let them.

It's not to make myself feel better per se, I was already feeling just fine. I'm looking down on people for contributing revenue to a company that's undeniably a cancer on gaming as a whole. When EA of all publishers has released the objectively superior product (Apex Legends), and you're milking your customers for their last cent during a pandemic, then that's when you know your remaining days of relevancy are numbered.

SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
