    Hello everyone. I was thinking it would be easier to discuss this in a thread instead of pm ing for help. I saw this game on the wish list, and after playing it for a FEW hours decided to take a stab at translating some of it. So far I have managed to do a decryption of the Eboot.bin. Inside I found the text for the quest and a few minor other things. What I need help with is finding the item/skills text and if possible the game text. The file I think some of this is is is the SoR_DAT.Pak because the it has Dat in the file name. Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    Ah, someone else has taken interest in this game. Cool. Unfortunately I have only made it as far as that as well, minus any actual translation congrats on that. My thought were the same on the .pak I hope someone can eventually help. So good luck with the project. I will leave it to you. Unchained blades will be taking up all of my free time, so I'm glad you have decided to take it on. Again good luck!

    Hello everyone. I wanted to report some success. Thanks to jamrules we have split that annoying SoR_DAT.PAK file wide open! And thanks to Kaikaiser for converting the .gim to .png so they could be edited. I will post screens later to show actual progress. The only hindrance now is the .bin files which contain game text. They are either compressed/encrypted or both. I have also managed to edit the .sfo file containing the games name. So if anyone could take a look at these .bin files to see how to break them I could upload a few samples. Thanks in advance and let's continue on FINALLY!

    So the .bin files have an encryption on them. Does anyone know of a quick bms script that could extract them or maybe write one for me please??

    Hello everyone. Been a while but here is the .bin files that I need help with. I've included 10.bin because is is not encrypted and has tutorial script you can read in shif-jis and can be edited just fine. Thanks in advance to anyone who has time to look at these.

    This second call for help is for anyone who can help with images. I have pulled all the images with text on them, including menus which is my biggest priority right now. There's 4 folders, menus, Monsters (monster descriptions), new game etc (new game, continue etc) and scripts (scripts that that appear during the game) again thanks for any help with this. I have done some of the menus and they turned out pretty good, but anyone with better skills is welcome to redo any of them.

    Then the last request is the re insertion back into the sor_dat.pak. we can do it manually with a hex editor, but if someone could make a program to insert directly into the .pak would be much better.

    You probably first should get someone to write the text translations for the text in the graphics.

    i already know how to unpack the pak file and repack it, what i am stunned at is the compressed data, which i'll see if i can unpack hopefully :D

    I was stuck on the Kraken fight (Inshilin 1st floor). Any tips?

    Any tutorials out there for modifying?

    All PSP patches will be smaller from now on because it extracts EBOOT.BIN, then decrypts it, then patches it which means xdelta can actually do its work rather than just obfuscation.

    Patch successful. Looks like skill names, options, main menu (things like town and base menu options, my room, furnace, shop etc.) Let me uupload some screens. Great job flame.

    There's also a lot of extra space in the EBOOT in case we need it.

    Need help modifying PGF font.

    Can you get a screenshot of the bestiary? I think that will help everyone understand why we need to change font.
    I'm not sure where that other text is. I thought I got most of the text in the EBOOT (not quite all of it).

    Whoops, nevermind, I guess it's not in there yet for some reason.
