My English teacher call me to take part in the English essay competition and say that the title will be any means I can write any essay with a title I like which is good but I don't know what title to write better... Any sites that have free essays to read? I think my standard of writing an essay is just like primary than secondary standard! I only uses simple words which is sucks.. Sure can't get high marks for it...

Woah, an English essay competition with your English?

There's a simple simile that describes this situation but I'm far to bored to bother.

Erm...yeah...your flag says that you're from the USA, but is that accurate? I couldn't really...understand...what you're saying.

You were assigned an essay to write about anything you want, and you want to read someone else's essay for inspiration and/or theft? That right?

If this is the level that you were taught to speak in, then that is what your teacher will expect - don't worry about it.

It's an English paper. I got through so many years of Honors English by bull shitting.

Write about what you know. Reflect upon yourself as a person. Call it: "The Game and How I Lost It" "Beyond the Superficial Realm".

    Welcome to learning foreign languages.

I know French, Spanish, English, and am in the process of learning Russian. The first two were from several American (English-native) teachers, English...native, and I'm teaching myself Russian with bits and pieces from a book, online material, and such. It takes time to learn things, and even more to become fluent in a language. Give it time.

That was actually spoken like a true American. you even incorporated the word "Fuck".

If you learn some basic American history, you could qualify for American citizenship.

First, at the dicks saying his English sucks. Way to look at where he lives. It's no different than some high school having a little french essay competition. All the little fuckers butcher the French, but who cares.

As for the OP, do not sit around thinking about topic will impress your teacher. That's not what she's shooting for, and it's not going to get you any points. You can write a 30 page paper in English solving the world's dependency on fossil fuels, but if the English is bad, it'll be a bad paper. Plus, I doubt you are very passionate about the subject.

My advice is pick something you like. Anything, I don't care how stupid it is. Something you really love. Whether it's hacking nintendo, or masterbating to porn on the internet. It doesn't matter. And write about it. Don't worry about the grammar, or the spelling. You sit down infront of your computer, and you tell yourself, I am just going to write EVERYTHING that comes to my mind. As if your fingers are robotic machines recording everything that your mind thinks.

Then go back and read over it a few hours later, and edit out the stuff that shouldn't be there. There will be a lot that shouldn't be there, that's the whole point. But there will be some really good stuff you'll want to keep. Then start going about fixing grammar and spelling.

I've read a ton of high school English papers. I promise you, teachers get bored reading papers. It's one of the most tedious parts of the job. Any teacher can immediately tell the difference between a bland and normal paper the student didn't really care about, and a paper the student was passionate about. And the student that was passionate about his subject ALWAYS writes a better paper, even if the topic seems juvenile to the audience.

So in short, quit worrying about a topic, and write about something you LOVE. Don't worry about the teacher liking the topic. You write what you know, and the paper will occur naturally.

This reminds me of the "essay" I had to do for my japanese teacher. Seeing that your in gbatemp Its safe to assume to like gaming. If its so, then write yourself a nice gaming essay. I did that once for english and got a near perfect grade.
