A friend of mine(17) is having an engagement party.

Am I suppose to buy a gift or something for her?

Yes ... it is normal ... I would go for something inexpensive and humorous ... like a plastic ball and chain ...

I think you do yes. I couldn't really suggest anything in particular but something that would benefit both persons would be ideal.

I have never been in any engagment shit.. all the people I know got married or live together...

Just google novelty gifts ... specifically those regarding weddings and marriages ...

Nah ... definitely not new ... I have been going to them for decades ... I even have a few friends who have had several over the years lol

... and it's not just a UK thing, before you speculate on that ... I'm originally from the US, and I went to them there, too ...
