Hacking emuNAND on 4.5 without Gateway?

alright, I'm not if this is possible, that's why I'm asking this.


My sister asked me to prepare her 3DS XL so she can play CIA games on her 3DS. She is currently on 9.2, but I plan to downgrade her 3DS to 4.5 using my Gateway card. Of course I can't give her my Gateway card (since I need it for my 2DS myself ).

My question is: Is it possible to prepare here 3DS so she can start emuNAND without the Gateway card? She needs emuNAND to play newer games, right? Or doesn't she need emuNAND at all?

What you're asking for is if it's possible to have both a way to run homebrew/pirated <7.x games on 4.5 FW and a way to play newest, legit games, without having to use a gateway, isn't it? If so, it's possible, and this is all you need to know:

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. We want to install the games as CIA on her SD card so she can play them without the need of my Gateway.
