Homebrew Emulation issues with Genesis Plus GX

I just got a component cable for my wii a few days ago and Ive tested a bunch of emulators with progressive scan (Wii64, Snes9x GX, and FCE Ultra GX.) They all worked fine when I played using progressive scan but for some reason when I start up a game on the Genesis Plus GX the screen goes dark. I am on the latest Wii firmware (4.3U) is there a fix for the blackout?

are you using the latest version? i use component cables and never had trouble with it, maybe you a fresh download might fix it

I wasnt on the latest version. I downloaded it and it still didn't work. But then I went to the settings and choose progressive scan and it works like magic. Thank you for the help.
