Homebrew Emulating 2 player for SNES, Genesis, PC Engine, PS1 using local multiplayer/download play?

I'm sure Questions like this come up quite a lot. Is there any way to play multiplayer while emulating these systems on 3DS. I have a N3DSXL and an O3DSXL. Even if there was a way to detect the second 3DS as a controller only and we had to look at the same screen. Is this possible? Will it ever be?
