All games work, just use the correct romset for each core and then in MAME 2003 and 2003+ run a working game and in core options disable cyclone and voila all the games that were crashing will now work, it seems that Emu4vita++ does not support individual configurations, a change of anything like core options or controls is applied to all games in the core.

I forgot that MAME cores also have a problem where if you load a game and then close it to load another one, the app crashes. You have to go back to arch or completely close Emu4vita++ every time you want to change games. For now, that's how it is. I'll try to report this problem on github.
Maybe that was the problem I had, I tested Battletoads first and it worked then everything else I tested crashed, I should have the correct romset as they work on retroarch core 2003 plus on my nokia streaming box but like I said I will do more testing when I get the chance. I should also mention that I do not overclock my systems so anything that requires an overclock in order to work will probably not work for me.

I don't nor wouldn't overclock m Vita either. People say it doesn't hurt the console, however I just wouldn't take my chances as it may shorten the lifespane of its parts.

Yeah i forgot that these needed the bios files renamed , so i have placed them in the system folder , sega cd games in chd format works in gensisplusgxwide but outright crashes on picodrive not sure why..
Oh I didn't notice the chd part, I always use bin/cue format though I also tested iso/mp3 format, never used chd format not with sega cd or any other system, idk 🤷‍♂️

I never played sega cd nor used any emulator for that system. So my question is: mp3 format for games? I didn't know that, colour me surprised:O

Once i found that sega cd games are packed into chd format than iso/cue/bin/mp3 format migrated the whole collection to it. Stuff runs ok on gensisplusgxwide but there are artifacts in intros but getting picodrive to work would have been nice. Testing pc engine cd games today.

Funnily enough, iso/mp3 format is how I experienced most sega cd games back in the early 2000s, it was easier to download because we had dial up.

Picodrive should also work, both genesisplusgx and picodrive support sega cd, but only picodrive supports 32x and only genesisplusgx supports game gear, master system, and sg-1000, you will need to install the sega cd and 32x bios to use those.

Cant figure it , it outright crashes trying to play anything, probably any one of the plugins i have is messing with it.
Dos Box svn does not load anything, Dos Box pure loads but is super slow , trying to get Dangerous Dave to work but its super slow.

Hi guys, maybe some of you are aware, the developer of this Emu4Vita plus frontend has answered and added some of my requests in the issues on the github.
Please don't overwhelm him with too many requests at once, but in this case I wanted to ask for your collaboration.
I have suggested if he could port or incorporate some of the cores that developer KMFDManic has been modifying and optimizing for years for limited systems such as mini consoles.
For those who don't know, his versions of the cores and and standalone emulators run much better and even some games that were previously impossible on the regular ones, you can check the links on my issue post.
https://github.com/noword/Emu4VitaPlus/issues/17

KMFDManic himself has responded to the issue asking for suggestions of specific cases to improve for Vita to see on what he can help, so if anyone wants to comment there or give me examples of specific systems and games where Retroarch struggle I will put it there.

All participation and support on the git is welcome, but let's remember not to overwhelm!
This time we are lucky that the dev is friendly and speaks English.

I really would like more work be put on retro arcade, specifically neo geo, konami and capcom 90s titles, they crash a lot on retroarch "neo geo in particular has major issues for me on retroarch vita".

Otherwise, I'd also like support for msx (and hopefully a standalone msx emulator" for I grew ip with the msx and the one particular hidden gem penguin adventure, though thankfully the game has been ported to multiple systems in japan during the years including the ps1 so I can play it on adrenaline no problem.

Finally, if he's up to the task, a sega saturn core would be nice even if it runs slow as proof of concept, it's a start.

On the basic version of Emu4Vita (not Plus) arcade emulation for Neo Geo and Capcom CP System II is perfect. I played a lot of Neo Geo and Capcom fighting games and beat-em-ups, and yes, it's perfect. Perfect frame rate, perfect video, perfect audio. Without any additional fiddling.

This is interesting, I should check it out... but the issue is they are not standalone, at this point I just fire up retroarch, I like having standalone emulators because they be easier to load up, I find multi-system emulators to be a bit slow to fire up, they work but not my personal preference.

You have standalone options too. I would recommend installing the whole thing to replace Retroarch. This is a small and easy install, and it's quicker and easier to navigate.

I totally 2nd this. While I don't find anything "terrible" with RetroArch or other mass-emulators, I've always had the best "luck" with standalone emulators. I would like using P-Gen, but the color scheme messes with my eyes, as I am red-green deficient.

Yeah definitely install the whole thing. I use it for arcade, nes, snes, genesis, gb/gbc, gba, pc engine and it works perfectly.
