I find some of there albums hit and miss but i generally enjoy there stuff. Night Rider is probably one of my favourite tunes by them, o even Twilight. Still on the motion of ELO have you given a listen to some of the other bits Jeff Lynne was involved in like The Move, his solo album Armchair Theatre, The Traveling Wilburys or even the Cloud Nine album he worked on for George Harrison?

I have to listen to several of Beethoven's compositions for one of my courses, but I've mostly been substituting it with Roll Over Beethoven.

    I mean, same difference, right?

only as long as you substitute the entire Chuck Berry catalogue and not just ELO's cover of one song

I like some of their songs, but a majority just don't click with me.

    Mr. Radio
    Confusion
    Don't Bring Me Down
    Twilight
The Way Life's Meant To Be
    Another Heart Breaks
    Rain Is Falling (!)
    Here Is The News

Obviously from that listing Time is my favorite album of theirs.

Just gave a listen to the new recordings of the ELO songs mentioned in the first post. While the songs are still good and sound great some of the spark from the originals are los, don't know why but the vocals sound too clean now

I like ELO but as Lynne and the group became more distant, the quality went downhill.

Like once it started becoming ELO vs. Electric Light Orchestra and ELO II it's just not worth listening too. But in general they have some stellar music that's really quite diverse and unique.

    Also BMTM.

I'd like them more if they had their own ideas.
