One step closer to digging their own grave.
Why buy a game that you can never use on steam/origin properly? You might as well just pirate it.
You didn't read the article, did you?
This is hilarious. I was in Gamestop yesterday and they were rearranging all of their game displays.
Wow. Even less reasons to buy games at EB. Online purchases are the only way to go, I guess.
Someone is going to be jipped out of online and DLC, also money as well by picking up a used copy on accident, looks like people need to start reading labels.
Once I get my MK7 Preorder, all my purchases will be done at Futureshop/Bestbuy
Screw EB games, I used to think they were good...I'm an Idiot.
This sucks. I live in Canada and now I am only ordering games from Amazon, Future shop or Best Buy, screw Gamestop.
what the hell is going on with this world? if this hits usa i am so going be done with gamestop.
Next thing is they will probably stop trading games.
Used games being a massive profit for them? Doubt it.
Spaceworld & GAME, here i come! EBgames/Gamestop have always been shitty when they started to rebuy the games.
This is absolutely ridiculous, there should be a law against such deceiving tactics.
So where can I get those t-shirts that say "F*** EB Games" on the front and "Gamestop sucks" on the back?
What is this nonsense!!??!? I thought this was one of those troll topics.
It really doesn't make any sense, no matter how you look at it.
The amount of lawsuits they will get for trying to use deceiving tactics will eventually get them to reverse what they're doing.
No one read the label? You mean people who aren't experienced in gaming like parents who buy for their kids don't. However, people who are used to buying games will obviously read it or notice the obvious price difference between new and used.
Beside, I don't even go in to browse, if I want something, I go directly to counter and ask the clerk if they have it new and tell him to fetch it for me like the dog he is. He just turn around, look in the glass behind him with all the newest game, take a copy out and give it.
Of course, I always check if the game is labeled new and if it's in the box.
Isn't that illegal?...
It makes better launch sales I guess. Instead of deciding to get it used later on, you figure getting a copy at launch will guarantee it being new.
"I don't live in Canada, but fuck doing things at Gamestop in Australia because everything that happens in Canada affects me thousands of miles away!"
Yeah it sucks for people in Canada, and if I lived in Canada I'd stop buying stuff from Gamestop/EB Games...in stores. I order most of my games online from Gamestop instead of physically going to the store because one, it takes less effort. Two, I hate dealing with stupid/bratty kids who scream for games and their parents don't do shit about it. Three, fuck the employees. "Would you like to get a warranty with that? Got any other games on your mind? What kind of games do you play? TELL ME ABOUT ALL YOUR GAMING HABITS!! TAKE THIS PRE-ORDER LIST, I KNOW I GAVE YOU ONE LAST TIME BUT FUCK YOU HERE'S 12!!!!!" My god. I know they're just doing their job but it's just fuckall annoying to me. Sure Gamestop kinda sucks, but where I live there isn't much of a variety to get used games in stores so I deal with it.
this is for you.
LO FUCKING L
