I would recommend https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki, takes a long time (several hours to a day) but it provides all the files you need so you don't have to go hunting or worry that you have the wrong files, plus it is complete step by step with nothing glossed over, so even the most beginner of beginners who have no idea what they are doing can follow it. Plus at the end you'll have the very best hack available today (a9lh).

He asked for the "easiest" way to play 3ds roms and sky3ds+ is as easy as it gets. It's easier to play roms with then setting up custom firmware eventhough that is recommended. Just drag and drop the rom files, it does not get any easier then that.

I second that, takes 4-5 hours but it's worth it. It's not foolproof though, I did manage to brick one 3ds xl by accidentally using the NEW 3ds xl firmware instead of the OLD 3ds xl firmware. All went smoothly on my new one though, it just took a while but now on v10.7 sysnand + 64gb sd with plenty of games + online play.

I'm splitting hairs but sky3ds is the simplest way. At around £75 for a sky3ds it comes down to is it easier to earn the £75 or install CFW...

It's easier to find the £75 if your not technically inclined and would prefer the safest and simplest option out there.

I can't believe that someone that is using GBATemp can't install a CFW. Maybe if the tutorials were in a different language...

You can easily install a CFW in 2 hours. But I would never start with a9lh, not if it's the first time the person is doing something with the 3DS.

On the contrary, I think it's actually easier than a regular CFW plus autoboot to install. The regular CFW & autoboot involves having to read multiple tutorials (unless you happen to find the rare all in one that also pertains to your exact combination of circumstances) then you have to go looking for files that aren't allowed to be linked on GBATemp, meaning you might get the wrong ones or out-of-date ones, then you have to do more searching to troubleshoot what's going wrong. For someone totally new to the scene this could actually take days. Being able to follow a guaranteed step by step would actually take less time. I think a regular CFW & autoboot would only take less time for people who have at least a small amount of experience.
I know I would have loved a 6-hour guaranteed step-by-step to get PS1 games working on my Vita. Every guide I followed said it shouldn't take more than an hour. Well here I am six months later and I still haven't managed to play a PS1 game :-(

Correct me if i'm wrong but at the end of part 3 of the guide you have emunand CFW without autoboot which is perfictably usable for roms+homebrew. Getting to a9lh takes additional time.

Not really. If we go with the 5 hours you would have to be on £15 an hour post tax. I know plenty of people who aren't in the UK, let alone other countries were the average pay is significantly lower. It's entirely subjective.

If anything, some of his songs were so controversial that he got troubles with the law regarding "blasphemy laws" in Greece.
