Look man, I don't know if it's because in the internet there is no tone or something, but I thing you got somehow offended by my post, and if that is the case I apologice. I still think you were the most helpful one, but to me it seemed like you were suggesting he delved into a9lh instead of just CFW, which to someone who preferred to pay money for a sky rather than using the free solution is an unnecessary convoluted process.
The reason I think he wasn't being helped properly is because the sky is just an inferior deal compared to CFW when playing online games, and the guy specifically asked to play online. Is just a fact that installing a game is a way easier than having to buy a game and ripping its header to inject it into the sky to play online safely.
Agreed. I'd advise CFW but not necessarily a9lh. So the guide is the right guide but the "arm9loaderhax" in the post wasn't really the best thing to write.
Wow Guys thanks alot for the quick responses and theres a decent number of options it seems. Is there a benefit for using CFW over sky3ds? I Mean for now i just wanna be able to play the games online doing wondertrades etc. Sorry for asking stupid questions but its just so i know if i should return the sky3ds or not
Basically, with a CFW, you can do everything you want. Play games online, wondertrades, acessing the eShop and stuff still works too obviously, etc... but also play out of region games, install homebrew on your home menu, play patched games (translated MHX if you're too impatient to wait for MH Gen), really whatever you want.
With Sky, you can "only" play untouched games (not patched and stuff) and you have to use private headers to go online (no need to deal with that using cia files on a CFW). The advantage is that you can argue it's more convenient than cia files for offline games (just drag and drop instead of installing a file).
Now, with both of them, you should be good

Use a CFW (after installing it) for what you can't do with a Sky, and use the Sky for what it's more convenient for, now that you bought it.
