I'm running PAL 4.1 Firmware with U/Loader 5.01 and, although I can get the game to load up just fine under cIOS 222, the Wii will not detect the USB Receiver whilst the other (The left-sided) USB slot is occupied. Even when I switched the USB ports around and ran the game off disc via U/Loader, the USB Receiver would not detect at all, and so I cannot use the game as it tells me no peripherals have been detected.

I inserted the USB Receiver into my PC to see if that was the problem, but the PC detects "unknown device", so I figure the issue is with the Loader?

Does anyone have a resolve or a link to a thread that can assist me?

Thanks.

I second that thought. If this list is accurate, you need a cIOS with a base of 56 to run it. I don't know the merges from Hermes's cios by heart, but assuming you tried 222, 223 and 224 (and they are installed with their default options), it simply doesn't support the extra hardware of the game.

For d2x (or any other cIOS based on Waninkoko's revision), it'll require another loader than uloader (unless you overwrite 222, 223 or 224...but that may interfere with other games that already work, so that's not advised). Either GX, CFG or wiiflow are good options for it.

Thanks for the replies.

I ran pimpmywii and got the auto updates.

Reloaded E.A Sports Active 2 via U/loader with Cios223... the game will recgonize the USB receiver and the leg strap but not the heart monitor.

I'm a relative newb at this stuff, so I'm trying to go through the alternatives suggested but am having trouble there.

Too bad. Hermes's cIOS are merges of two IOS, so the functionality is somewhat in between. It usually works to get games working that rely on either IOS, but this sort of half-support doesn't surprise me, to be honest.

Lemme check...

1st part: install a cIOS that may work (haven't followed pimpmywii, but if it doesn't explicitly says it supports d2x, it won't have the latest cIOS...Waninkoko's rev 21 is probably good as well, but you need to know which base IOS it installed).
-install and run modmii (check xflak's signature)
-after typing 'I agree', type '4' for the download pages
-type "d2x" (without the brackets) to select all latest d2x cIOS
-type "d" to download them all.
-a whole bunch of wads will be created with names like "cIOS249[37]-v21d2x3.wad". the 249 in the name is the slot. You want either 249 or 250 on this one. The 37 is the base IOS. It's a bit of testing which one works, but as I mentioned in my last post, you want to start with 56.
In any case: copy these all to your SD card.
-use a wad manager to install one or two of those (a 249 and/or a 250 one)

2nd part: get another USB loader that supports 249/250 loading.

The steps for this depend on which loader you want to use. For wiiflow, you can find detailed steps here. Once you have everything installed and you see your game, look for options. Make sure that the loader uses that installed 249 or 250 to load the game before you try starting it.
