I realised that I've been buying DVD-Rs for as long as I can remember but I never realised what's the difference between + and -? Is there no such thing as a "superior" version and which is a format generally more accepted by consoles when burning ISOs? Like the Wii.

It's all about the depth of the layers or something.
I think + has harder to read layers, but in return it has something else that's better.
I just don't know what that is

DVD-R discs hold about 7 megabytes more than +R discs, and are generally more compatible with older standalone DVD players. I have no info about Wii compatibility.

@Xdqwerty, to answer your question, they're a fusion Brit-pop/J-pop/electronic band with a woman vocalist. Flamingo is hands down their best known song but they've got a ton of other really good songs+1 -
