I have recently updated my Wii using xzxero's Modify Any Wii Guide. I have installed 4.2U firmware, HBC 1.0.6. and DVDx v2 from HackMii Installer.

My question is what applications can I use to play DVDs from my Wii through HBC? I have tried MPlayer CE v.75 and it freezes while trying to mount the DVD. Are there any other DVD players that you can suggest? Also....any ideas on why MPlayer CE is not working for me?

it's cause 4.2 deletes the old DVDx and mplayerCE doesn't support DVDx v2 yet so if you have pre/priiloader and the [Disable HAXX,DVDX,RZDx Checks] enabled you can install the old version of DVDx from the old hackmii installer and have both version 1 and 2 on the wii at the same time that's what i've done

dvdx never worked for me.
try using cIOS202

The new MPlayerCE NEEDS cios202
MplayerCE no longer uses DVDx as it bypasses the need for using dvdx at all by using it own custom IOS CIOS202 and reads discs at full speed now and is more compatible with most filetypes.

if ios 202 reads disc at full speed, why is it that nobody has put 2 and 2 together and made full speed work for backups??? Now thats something that should be worked with.

ya lol. In that theory then someone could just dip their cios202 give them credit and put it in cioscorp and provide a seperate wad for those who use back-up loaders. Then make them load the dipped cios202

Illinois is working to ban toxic food additives that have been banned for decades in other countries; additives that can be replaced and all those countries still have Skittles and Mountain Dew. Title of the piece: GUBMINT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CANDY

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".

I mean if a company could use AI to do the work of a home conversion for essentially free why not? The rights for some games are completely lost though
