Hey all, I have a bunch of wii backups that i wish to put on my hard drive now because usb loaders are the wave of the future, and i don't want to use the wii dumper cuz that takes forever. Now i did some googling and found out that the only drives that can read the games on a pc are the LG-816xB series (where 5>x>0). So what i would like to verify with all you fine gents (and...she...gents?) is 1) is this information true? and 2) will this drive read wii games:

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/HP-HITACHI-LG-GDR-8164B...=item27ad31362f?

which i plan to use with:

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/IDE-SATA-100-133-HDD-CD...=item335ab27755

So i can use it with my sata computer.

    Suggestions and Criticisms are welcome.

Edit: I also need to verify if you can dump backups of games successfully. Thanks.

    well...

yes , yes and yes ...

but really, the best way to dump an original is by usb loader in the wii, it takes not even 10 minutes
and those drives are the only that read ORIGINAL games, to read a copy any drive will do, just use imgburn to turn the disc in to .iso and send it to the drive... but takes longer than dumping by usb loader
