Gaming Dumping/Creating A Sega Saturn Image (How-To)

Well i downloaded a cd image to use on the SSF Emulator of one of my favorite games. It barely works, but what i wanted to know is how i can dump/create an image for the game using Alcohol 120%. Ive already attempted to create an image and at 87% it began to have multiple disc errors (Im assuming from some sort of protection) Can anyone explain to me how to me a complete image. Also when i was creating an image it asked me what type of protection i wanted?? (Like SecuRom) And i just put customize since i have no idea what it does. Oh before i forget, when burning cds (mainly on Alcohol) what does the burn speed do/affect.
