Give it about a year, two tops and those teeth inside the DualSense are going to be looking like they should be in the mouth of a guy called Cleetus.

Simply put there is no way that anything made of plastic that is handling that kind of action and regular use as well as the over eager gamers fingers that are mashing the button even harder at the same time can not malfunction:

Can't wait until the PS5 Slim is released and I get to give them a go as it seems like an excellent bit of kit but the way they are put together screams design flaw and seems a bit of an odd oversight. Let see...

You know Sony never had an original idea in their life, even with flaws they'll imitate Nintendos "lead".

imo its probably going to be all fun and games until around a few months when people start getting this issue.

Controllers are generally a consumable good.

That said we have had plenty of tools be made out of plastic gears these days and most do OK.
Fingers on a worm drive that size seems reasonable.
