Hacking Dualbooting cfws with a9lh ?

Hi there ,

Is it possible to dualboot or even tripleboot cfws on the 3ds ?
Im just testing shit out , so yeah this is indeed a serious question.

It's easy enough to chainload CFW payloads. Keep in mind things that cause the system to reset will probably not work quite right (exiting system settings, extended memory games on o3ds), as that generally causes arm9loaderhax.bin to be loaded again afaik (Ex: I chainload Luma from Corbenik, enter system settings, says Sys 11.3.0-36 so Luma, exit, get my corbenik splash again, re-enter System Settings, get the corbenik firmware string).

As always, make sure to read all documentation carefully, and make sure the right boxes are marked, files in the right place, etc.

Luma is able to chainload btw, which is what you should have by default from the guide: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Other-features-and-notes

thanks for the reply , I found a a9lh.bin that has a selection screen of booting a9lh.bin´s.
It does not work for me tho :c

Keep in mind that Luma pretty much has what most people need from CFW already. I wouldn't mess with other CFWs too much, unless you know what you're doing. For example, there was a guy in the 3dshacks reddit who managed to turn off firm protection in Corbenik or something like that, ended up without a9lh afterwards...: https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/5uvl26/always_do_and_keep_nand_backups/

Make sure to read documentation carefully when setting up and using anything you are not familiar with.

You can replace your arm9loaderhax.bin with a arm9loaderhax.bin that loads a boot manager, which loads other payloads.

CFWs don't effect your games/saves/NNID, they are simply write some patches and read the NAND.
You can either chainload your CFW using Luma3DS' or Corbenik's chainloaders. Or you can install a bootloader to boot into them
