    Browsing on dealextreme found this card and in their site they have listed 1.17a12 as the latest kernel. Looks like this clone beat the original dstt team stealing the firmware this time. Here's the link to their site: DSTTI Gold

    I never understood how the password would prevent them from getting it. I mean they're Chinese, not spastics.

    When I first saw the whole password game being played I was like "really, are these people that naive?".

    Its impossible to keep this kernel secret... IM-PO-SSIBLE!!!

    So, the only way is, ashley must sign the kernel inside, and when something will appear on the top screen of DS/DSi
    Many people will see, this is an unofficial kernel and not the property of a DSTT TEAM... (Official or fake)

    If you have some other idea, please will wait for it...

    have you noticed that they have each one from a01 to a12

    this is probably ashley's clone ... well updated i see

    i just hope it can upgrade from 1.4 to higher dsi firmwares

    the ndstt.com version can

    yes... its advertised that it can upgrade

    Exactly what firmware did ashley et al write to claim ownership of?
    They certainly didn't write the firmware they're distributing since it was written by the DSTT team.
    Sure they've updated it for compatibility, but the tools are out there for anyone who wants them.
