Hacking DSLinker won't let me play any games

Howdy!
I had a corrupted file on my Linker and when I deleted all the files and did a quick format to get rid of the problem, my Linker stopped working. My brother told me to try to install the firmware again and that should help, but when I did I get a blank screen (only on the bottom) on game mode. Everything I've tried so far has done nothing and I don't know how to solve the problem.
Help!

Could be bricked :S you might have to replace it.
