If all your girlfriend is going to do is play NDS ROMs buy an N-Card.(I have a Supercard DS ONE and my little brother has a N-Card, so I know what both are like). Dealextreme has a cheap N-Card(1GB for 29USD no shipping fees).

    N-Card-Just NDS ROMS
    SC-ONE- Everything(including roms)

Checkout the reviews here for both as well

Another way to think about it is.

    N-Card-Internal memory
    Supercard DS One-External(Micro-SD)
