My DSi is a mes of scratches and I hate looking at it!
Is there anyway to paint it safely?
Or is it just a bad idea?

Own experiences? Please help

Yes, it's possible, but not a good idea unless you know what you're doing when it comes to painting. Primer is a must (auto primer is recommended). Does ur DSi have a matte finish?

I would recommend painting the whole thing, rather than just filling in the scratches. If ur good with paint, then get some auto primer and maybe even auto paint to do the whole thing (high gloss, so it looks professional)...and be very very careful. Tape up all the ports and the camera and if u wanna do the inside, cover the screens REALLY well.

It can be done, but it'll take you some time to get it right....maybe practice on something first so you can get an idea of how it's gonna look.

A replacement shell is a good idea if you're up for it.
It's not hard to do.

If you're still under warranty, hope that something on your DSi will stop working.
My 'R' button stopped working. I sent in my scratched DSi and they sent back a new one!

Edit: 2,600th post!

Get a skin for it.
You could make your own, or simply buy premade ones.
They're pretty cheap.

Much, much easier then replacing the whole shell, and wont look bad like paint.

If you really Want to paint it, I suggest actually taking apart the DSi and putting all the electronics to one side, and the shell to the other.
