I forgot to do this (thanks to War for reminding me) so here it is, its a bit of a quick job so expect mistakes. A big week for RPG freaks, Puzzle Quest interests me and thats all. For the Wii yet another zombie game hits us...nice.

<!--coloro:#483D8B--><span style="color:#483D8B"><!--/coloro--><u><b>Read to know when a game could be dumped:</b></u>
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you like a something loves something.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

<u><b>DS GAME OF THE WEEK</b></u>

One of the biggest suprise hits of the DS comes back with a sequel, though it originally wasn't meant to have Puzzle Quest in the title.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->In Puzzle Quest: Galactrix a horrifying scientific accident has provoked another race to attempt extermination of humankind; players will create a persistent pilot who gains skills, crafts items, maneuvers among the universe's political factions, and upgrades the ultimate space fleet as they attempt to end the genocide. An innovative hexagonal puzzle board allows for a wide range of strategic depth as it heeds to gravity according to a player's location in the game universe. A rich and detailed storyline and fresh gameplay elements make the world of Puzzle Quest: Galactrix a captivating new adventure to explore and conquer.

* Create a persistent pilot who gains skills and ships as he completes more battles
* Each enemy you fight will require different tactics
* Individual battles require only 5-10 minutes of time
* Experience a conquer-the-galaxy style campaign mode
* Find new objects to make your pilot and ship all-powerful
* Trade supplies throughout the galaxy to increase your wealth
* Meet companions who will join your crew and aid you in battle<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
So its more than the last game...but with a space theme. I played the PC demo and seemed a lot better and harder. The hexagonal grid really makes you think harder than before.

Its another RPG, the 360 game was decent enough but developed by Mistwalker, this one is by Feel Plus. This one looks sort of generic to me. A sequel is already on the way.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Awaken the power within with Blue Dragon Plus, based on the videogame and TV series. Directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, Blue Dragon Plus features character designs by Akira Toriyama, and a soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu. In Blue Dragon Plus, one year has passed since Shu and his companions defeated the tyrannical remnant of the Ancients, Nene. In the midst of the battle, the world split in two and now consists of a myriad of "cubes" that exploded from its depths. King Jibral notices a mysterious cube in the distance suddenly start to move violently, and from it he sees the Shadow of a Balaur, a three-headed dragon, emerge. The enormous and sinister Shadow is just the beginning of the new turmoil and devastation to come!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Well it could be good, RPG gamers will eat this up but I might just pass to be honest. Game has had mixed reviews so best try it yourself.

There is also a scrolling fighter to play as well. One game Kugure! Girijan MAX (the GB platformer) is actually a game trainer which trains you up to play platformers. Three other games from the first return in special editions: Cosmic Gate, Hanguru Man (which lets you play as his sister), a time attack version of Rally King & a score attack version of Star Prince. I'm hoping that RGC has sold enough so this game will be released in English too.

Yeah my wanted level has dropped since the Japanese release. Still should be worth getting. Capcom bring another mature title to us and its the 3rd zombie title to hit the Wii this month, I think it'll rank 3rd behind the other two but it should be a decent enough title to pass the time with though of course nothing compared to the original. Had I not already played the 360 game then I'd want this more but I'll still grab it just for something to pass the time with.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop delivers a more immersive, intuitive and interactive experience as players use the Wii Remote to shoot, slash and bludgeon their way through a zombie infested shopping mall, fighting for survival.

The game follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance journalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to the small suburban town of Willamette only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. Frank escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety but it turns out to be anything but. It will be a true struggle to survive the endless stream of enemies, but players will have full reign of a realistic shopping center and its varied stores offering an endless supply of real and makeshift weapons to fight off the flesh-hungry mob. If Frank is running low on health he can pay a visit to one of the many restaurants or cafes for a meal in order to restore his energy and continue the fight. It's a brutal fight, but with no end in sight to this zombie onslaught, Frank bides his time by messing around with a variety of comedic costumes and making use of improvised and sometimes highly ineffective weapons such as a toy sword or a football.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Blah blah not enough zombies (to be honest there seems to be enough for slaughtering) blah blah there have been GC games with more enemoes on screen (true), blah blah without the photo element it'll be a samey game (again true). If you have a 360 get that version, if you don't get this but don't expect it to be as good. The game will use the RE4 engine and while it doesn't look as good as that game it should do the trick, even though you can't jump. Take it for what it is, a mindless zombie slaughter game that is there to pass the time with while having fun killing zombies in different ways. Try not to be too pissed if its not as good as the 360 game, think of it as a different game altogether. Who knows, if it does well Capcom may give us a proper Dead Rising game, one that is made FOR the Wii rather than ported. North America will get this on the 24th with Europe getting it a few days after.

Yeah yeah it was out in the US last may but its an excellent overlooked game that deserves any shooter fans attention and that is why I am writing up the Europe release.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Across more than 15 different land, air and sea missions, the goal of Blast Works is to destroy enemy ships while continually growing your own into a massive craft by absorbing their fragments. The larger a "fused ship" is, the easier it is to protect from the growing onslaught of enemy firepower. Players can also upgrade their ship in the Hangar, can even team up with a partner in Cooperative Mode to blast enemies, fuse debris to grow their ships and finish the mission as a team.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Not only that but you can also design your own levels, ships, enemy ships, objects and bosses. Assign Bullet Patterns, Sound FX, movement patterns & hit boxes and then trade them via WFC. Multiplayer is for 2-4 players with many modes and once you have finished the game you'll be able to unlock four bonus games Tumiki Fighters (which this is based off_, Gunroar, Torus Trooper and rRootage.

Tumiki Fighters is actually freeware and the PC version can be fount <a href="http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/windows/tf_e.html" target="_blank">here</a>
Seriously people, if you enjoy this game buy it, support the devs and show publishers that you appreiciate games with thought and effort. Nintendo Power gave it an impressive 8.5 which is rare for them to do on a 3rd party game that has had little hype.

Great thread. Haven't read the Wii releases yet (I'm at work) but the DS ones seem nice so far (especially RG Challenge 2).

btw.: You accidentally put the rest of the DS games in the spoiler tag of the RG Challenge 2 videos.

Thanks Hadrian, great job as usual. Nothing really pleases my palate this week, but nothing really does these days. But now I've re-read the article Retro Game Challenge 2 looks interesting, plus gives me a chance for me to use my rusty Japanese. It's surprising how much you forget if you're not using the language frequently/occasionally.

Only thing that takes my eye is the Yu-Gi-Oh stardust accelerator one, I'm not a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh anymore but I like the DS Games because they're fun to play and the graphics usually pretty decent. Haven't seen pics for it yet but I'm sure it will be nice and 3D as usual.
Actually ince I gave Legacy of Ys a load of BS, I think I'll give it a go xD I like to be pleasantly surprised when a game I thought was $4!7 turns out to be OK.
Like Professor Layton.

Anyway.. I hated the first Puzzle Quest, most interesting non-japanese thing there is Peggle IMO. That thing is amazingly addicting! Should be something good to spend time on the DS.

Hadrian if that Peggle DS Release Date is true you just made my day!
I'm addicted to Peggle on my iPod.
Gamespot said Peggle DS came out March 3rd so if it's really the 27th, Yippee!
