Hacking DS-Two and playing online

Hi folks. So I'm in the middle of buying a DSI-Xl and a DS-TWO card with the latest firmware on it and I was wondering about playing games online. Specifically Pokemon and Mario Kart.

I've read that it is possible, but due to the way the card works when reading roms, you can only use WEP (a.k.a older DS consoles).

Is this still the case today? Or have things been update to where you can use other wifi standards with the DS-Two?

No it runs in regular DS mode and only has access to regular DS wifi features meaning only wep.

No flash cart has ever been able to use higher than WEP because it's a limitation of the DS setup itself.
