    Well then, because my thread for June is now getting close to 2,000 views I suppose it’s pretty safe to say that ya’ll enjoyed and appreciated what I did - thus I’mma do it again! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yaynds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yayds:" border="0" alt="yaynds.gif" />
    But first of all I’d like to point everyone’s attention towards Hadrian and his weekly reports for which I’m providing links to at the end of this thread. He’s the guy who inspired me to do all this and is as much of a source of inspiration as every single one of you who are currently reading this sentence - because coming here means that <i>you</i> are contributing to making me want to continue with these monthly reports. If no one cared about my work then I wouldn’t bother doing it no more.

    Keep in mind that all dates are subject to change and if you want more details on what’s to be expected during the current week - then Hadrian is the guy that you wanna turn to! Again, I provide links to all of his weekly threads at the bottom of this thread, so be sure to pay them a visit if you’re interested in a weekly report on what to expect (both on DS <i>and</i> Wii) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    Anyway, now sit down and buckle up ‘cause the ride is about to start: here are what games to expect in July 2008! My personal favorites this month are <i>Final Fantasy IV</i> (well duh), the much sought after sequel <i>Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2</i> (seriously, who’s <i>not</i> looking forward to this game?), the interestingly looking horror-adventure game <i>Nanashi no Game</i> from the land of the rising sun (translation patch plz!), and <i>Air Traffic Chaos</i> (stop laughing - being an ATC <i>is</i> fun). I’m also keeping a keen eye on <i>Mazes of Fate, Rain Drops, Densetsu no Stafi: Taiketsu! Dire Kaizokudan</i>, and <i>Super Speed Machines</i>.

    <b><a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=VJZJGhRl52M" target="_blank"><!--sizeo:3--><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->Air Traffic Chaos<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--></a></b> (US), Simulation, 30th
    I hear ye I hear ye, you’re saying to yourself “Air Traffic Chaos wtf??” while looking at me like I was crazy. Well I’m not. And no I’m not drunk either, I just happen to fancy games where you act as an ATC (air traffic controller). I’ve actually enjoyed more than one of these in the past, even on my cell-phone! Oh sure go ahead and laugh, at least I’m no Pokémon-addict, you childish twats <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

    And for those of you who still don’t get it: Air Traffic Chaos is a game where you play as an ATC, working on five different airports where you direct arriving and departing planes while making sure that there’s enough space in the air and on the airport to keep accidents from happening. The game has no multiplayer (how the heck would that work out anyway?), but apparently features a high score <i>sharing</i> system which allows you to provide your friends with a challenge to try and beat <i>your</i> score instead of something pre-set by the game’s developers! Crazy stuff.

    Why I may not think <i>too</i> highly about this game, at least it <i>does</i> have some potential and I happen to like city-building. So I’m keeping all fingers crossed that this title will actually turn out good, though from what I’ve come to understand - the PC-version didn’t, but hey anything can happen when a game gets ported...

    Never heard of this series before, but apparently it's quite popular in Japan and it <i>does</i> look like a great platform game in keeping with Kirby! This could totally be worth getting - the platform genre is usually easy to figure out as well so it really shouldn't matter that the game is in Japanese.

    *watches carefully*

    Hmm, racing on a portable device, and it’s about motorcycles too - not cars... I’ve gotta be honest here, the only reason why this game ain’t at the <i>bottom</i> of this thread along with the rest of the (in my opinion) less thrilling games is because it somehow managed to get Hadrian’s “Approved”-mark in his weekly thread for this month’s first week. So I’ve decided to trust his judgment and actually show the game off like this.

    It better be worth the attention, Hadrian! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

    Omigosh, it’s Final Fantasy! Now, while I’m no dedicated fan of this series (never owned a NES, SNES or PS1) and thought that Final Fantasy III on the DS was icky-poo (<i>gawd</i> what a dull game), number four looks pretty awesome and the Japanese trailer actually gave me goose bumps (voice acting ftw)! So I’ve actually got some pretty high hopes for this one, but am in no hurry to play it - totally gotta finish FFTA2 at least once first <3

    But yeah, hooray for another DS RPG! And FF <i>is</i> a respectable and remarkable series that I wish I could’ve made acquaintance with earlier in my life.

    Never played the first game but I suppose a lot of you are looking forward to this sequel, so here it is! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Supposedly it’s a roguelike dungeon crawler so I dunno why I never played the first one since I’m a sucker for the genre, but I’ll be sure to give this one a try (unless I find out in a review or here on the boards that it fails horribly)!

    Saw the first screenshot and thought to myself "Coool". Saw the second screenshot and thought to myself "Oh...". So this is another one of those games where I’ve got my fingers crossed that it’ll turn out good, or at least so-so. Because it’s an RPGs I’ve gotta at least try it.

    I noticed that the game made its first appearance on the GBA - it’s funny that I never got around playing it, and the name certainly doesn’t ring a bell. Hopefully that’s not a bad omen... Anyway, with a sequel already planned for the Wii I really, really hope that this game will turn out good enough to get an average score of 7 out of 10. That’d be smashin’.

    Metal Slug is back, woo! Not that <i>I’m</i> very fond of the series but, yeah cool beans anyway. The game will have the same set of characters as Metal Slug 6 and two new vehicles were announced last year: the Slug Truck and Slug Gigant. Quote from Wikipedia:

    <i>“Slug Truck will work similar to the Metal Slug while the Slug Gigant is a giant heavy robot capable of massive firepower. The game will also feature the return of "Combat School Mode" which was originally from Metal Slug X.”</i>

    The title is a total turn-off if you ask me, but those screenshots <i>does</i> look quite intriguing. First thing that sprung to my mind was Soul Bubbles, so fingers crossed that this navigate-through-levels-by-literally-stretching-out-your-arms gameplay will be as amusing as it has potential to be.

    Hyped game of awesomeness?? Well maybe not awesomeness, but at least it scored 30/40 from Famitsu and it does <i>look </i> pretty cool. Another reason why I should <i>study</i> Japanese and actually <i>learn</i> something about the language, not just how to read hiragana and katakana.
    Language patch plz!!

    This game resembles around a cursed RPG whereas anyone who plays the game will be dead within 7 days (The Ring!). So the fancy screenshot on the left represents the “real“ world while the right picture is from the cursed RPG that, supposedly, will lead to your death.
    Nanashi no Game is said to offer 3D sound as well and thus it’s best advised that you play it using headphones.

    While I could totally see this game <i>fail</i> on pretty much everything that it tries to accomplish, I'm still gonna give it a moment to shine in this spotlight-section as there aren't many point-and-click like adventure games on the DS. I mean worst case scenario: you throw up 'cause the game sucks so badly. I’m not sure <i>why</i> I decided to post this game along with some pictures and my description of it when there’s really nothing to describe here - because I could hardly find out <i>anything</i> about it! But the <i>cinematic</i>-looking screenshots tickled my interest, so, who knows - it might actually turn out to be something good and n*Revolution <i>did</i> rate it 7 out of 10 - praising the game’s multiplayer mode. Not bad.

    While the name may sound like a joke and I showed my despise for portable racing games earlier, I think that Super Speed Machines looks pretty cool - top down perspective is the way to go (Micro Machines and Super Cars ftw) \o/

    * More than 30 vehicles to choose from
    * Interactive and placeable hazards
    * Unlockable vehicles and add-ons
    * Single-card multiplayer for 2-4 players

    It’s Trauma Center. Again. ‘Nuff said - get it.

    <b>------------------------------------------------------------------</b>

    Other, in my opinion, <i>less</i> thrilling games that are also due out this month are: <b> AMF Bowling Pinbusters (1st), Animal Genius (3rd), Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun (?), Brico Utile (18th), Cory in the House (4th), Crazy Labyrinth (25th), Déco Tendances (18th), Doodle Hex (11th), Farm Life: Manage Your Own Farm (3rd), Margots Word Brain (18th), International Athletics (18th), My Make-Up (?), Puzzler Collection (3rd), Road to Vegas (4th), Rhythm & Notes (18th), Rhythm Tengoku Gold (31st), Rock Blast (29th), Tennis Elbow (25th), The Mummy: Tomb of the Emperor (25th), The Woodleys: Summer Sports (25th), </b>

    And here are the <b>links to Hadrian’s weekly threads</b> for even more details and (possibly) accurate dates (again - remember that these are always subject to change):

    <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=92294" target="_blank"><b>1st week of July</b></a>, Days 1-6

    Thanks for the post ConraDargo. Hope Trauma Center 2 gets dumped tomorrow. I'm sure I'll end up buying it though since I bought the first one. I'm also really looking for to Dream Pinball 3D. Too bad another Metroid Prime Pinball hasn't been made. That's probably the most entertaining pinball games I've ever played(alot of that due to me loving the Metroid world).

    Thanks again.

    Meh I guess that European sites cannot be trusted - I bet the release date I found was for the EU version... Sorry about that.

    Dang that game looks pretty advanced, Jordi [IMG] For true music lovers/addicts for sure!

    Edit: And I've got more than 20 titles enlisted (don't forget the "less thrilling" ones at the bottom of my list) [IMG] I won't ever add every single game though, I mean Japan gets a lot of games every month, and I then there are a couple of other countries as well (I know Germany gets at least one weird game this month). But my focus here lies on games that are in English, with some exceptions of course - such as Metal Slug 7.

    Rhythm Tengoku is wayyyy better than any other Rhythm or music games.
    The GBA one was for me (with Wario Twisted) the best game on gba.
