There was a time when Ninjhax would "never enable pirating" but gateway found a way.
It had nothing to do with Ninjhax though and seemed to be developed separately.
After all, Gateway made use of ARM9 and ARM11 kernel exploits that they might have had for a long time, whereas Ninjhax was just the bare neccessities for being able to run homebrew.
The original Gateway release for 4.1-9.2 didn't even use Cubic Ninja, it used the browser. It just happened to share some of the same exploits, which they might have had all along but were saving it until their method was patched (which happened shortly after the Ninjhax release, before GW released their update)
However, it makes me wonder. The Cubic Ninja exploit was released on Nov 17th of last year, was patched around Dec 8th, and Gateway's exploit was released 10 days later on Dec 18th. So how long do you think before they release an exploit for newer firmwares this time around? :P
