Hacking DS phat overclocking.

Hi, my old, ancient, decrapped, (yet still awesome) ds phat is dying atm, top screen wont show anything but white, case is utterly flimsy

is more or less what its been through. so, im installing a new top screen ( i know how to solder decently) and putting it in a new case, its going to be a while before it gets here (chinese post is slooooow) and i was wondering if its possible to install an overclocking chip on the phat, ive read a few guides on how to do this, and it seems easy enough. however their all for the dsl, so i guess what i want to know if this is (A). possible
(B). pricey
and is there anything i should know (like how to disable the little nintendo C4 they have in there) before i dive into this?

Overclock your DS? You do know that it will just make the game's play faster since the games expect the handheld to run at the same speed.

You still want to overclock it?
