damn, just when i got the original Phoenix Wright ( no JFA for me )my DS doesn't charge, i bought another charger but it didn't seem to work :\

i searched around and on the maxconsole forums this guy ultrablade said
however i'm not under warrenty and i have no idea what that means, i opened 'er up and i'm pretty confident i can solder things right just i don't know what contacts to what

on the other hand it could be an excuse to get a lite ( although i have no money for anything :\)

    help with a pic please?

Does the DS still work when you have the adapter plugged in? With what you posted it just sounds like your battery isn't recharging. If the DS comes on with the adapter plugged in it might be the battery.

nope, besides the cord isn't a AC adaptor AFAIK for the DS it just charges the battery

but the battery aren't dead yet, just red

You can't have just the AC charger plugged in with no battery, it won't work.

DS works with charger plugged in and battery out.
DSL does not work with charger plugged in and battery out.

It should be marked on the board as F1. I remember doing this for my GBA. Damn cheap ass battery packs...

    Have a look

    EDIT: http://www.edn.com/contents/images/20050609pe_2_l.jpg

F2 is near the power connector, test across it to see if its alive. If not, solder there, otherwise find F1.

thanks man, hey what value is that fuse anyway? i'd much rather just replace the fuse rather then doing this and running the risk of frying my DS

Not sure. I never measured it - it was too much hassle to find a replacement. Soldering over it works fine. Sorry.
