Gaming DS Lite - use B and Y instead of A and B on GBA games?

Hello everyone, it's been a while since i posted here!

I was just wondering if it's possible, on the DS lite, to use B and Y buttons (the two left ones) instead of A and B (the two bottom ones) respectively when playing Game Boy Advance games. Maybe with a modified firmware...?

Nice! How did you manage to change the button layout? "hard modded" i assume means you have to re-solder them, making them useless for NDS games?

Yup, if you want nds controls back you have to remove the mod, I didn't cut any tracks or anything that isn't reversible.

I will post a pic later when I have access to my pc.

It's a shame it can't be done with a modified firmware.

And even choose in the config menu GBA Buttons or NDS Buttons. That would be very helpful.
