Hacking DS Lite Top Screen Problem

I'm having a problem with the top screen of my DS Lite where it shows a white screen all the time unless the top part of the DS lite is aligned at a particular angle, seems like its a problem with a loose ribbon cable or something.
I'm thinking of opening up the DS and fixing the problem myself, but I'm not very sure I have enough experience to open the DS Lite up and fix this particular problem without mangling the internals.

Could anyone advise me on the complexity of this issue and possible repair costs, if any?

    The immersion part is the only thing I like about vr that's why I returned Nreals too much open space made them off putting cool concept for sunglasses kind of expected it but wanted to try them at least
