Hacking DS Lite Top Screen is crapped out

So I was playing some ALTTP on SNEmulDS with an M3 Expansion, and like usual it was emulating very smoothly. But suddenly the top screen was getting all fuzzy, and the speakers were making static noises. It was ignorable at first, but it got to a point to where i couldn't play the game anymore. Now whenever i turn on my DS the top screen is a solid offwhite, but everything else works perfectly. I can load games and my Real on it besides the top screen.

So, how am I supposed to fix this? Has anyone else experienced this? And how much would it cost to fix the top screen? I can afford to buy new parts for it if that helps.

eh... are you within the 1 year warranty thingy? if you are than i'd say call 'em. but if you not, its goign to cost you $85 i think ($75 for repair $10 for shipping). that is the cost for my DSi repair. hope this helps
