I was very impressed with that. You should be able to let the kiddies loose on the DS lite without them breaking it.

Strong, indeed [IMG] But that doesn't mean all DSes are built like that.

And I don't think I'll let that guy play with my DS, stress test or not [IMG]

Well it was a store unit, no harm done. Alot of bigger retail chains like target just destroy and throw out their display pieces, at least when it comes to things like furniture. My friend works at target and he said it sucks b/c they throw out alot of usable stuff just because its been displayed and they can't sell it anymore according to store policy.

The next time I hit one of those stores I'm going to go see if I can talk to some store managers and see if I can buy their display models for parts and stuff.

I cringed everytime he pushed on the screen..and when he got that "stationary stylus" i nearly shat myself XD

Good to know, I might end up getting one sooner than I thought...

it's the cracking I heard when he presses on the screen that concerns me

Looks strong but I doubt the top screen can hold up to that pressure.

It may not have cracked, but is the touch screen still accurate?

The cracking noise was that moron's thumb's bones cracking against the pure Nintendium alloy the screen is made of, no worries.
