Hacking DS languages?

My (English speaking) friend wants to buy a DS Lite but is currently in Sweden. If he buys one there will it be in Swedish? and if so can it be changed to English?

No, it will be in English, so no need to change anything

EDIT: I believe all DS' sold in Europe, at least within the EU, have exactly the same hardware/software. The first time you start it I think you get to choose language even.

Nintendo DS doesn´t have region restriction.
