Hi,I have a music issue.
In Mario Kart DS, only the sound will work as expected but the music can’t play normally, lot of music glitches happen.
It was working before this morning before I update, I didn’t know about the universal updater so I started with the twilight updater then the universal updater.
Now twilight menu is up to date but I can’t obtain a normal music as before.
Is it a known issue and is there a fix ?

Make sure you're running the game in DS mode, and not in "DSi mode (Forced)".

thank you for your answer.
I think I found the setting :
Run in -> DS mode
Run FluBBa emus. In -> mode

was DSi

the music issue is still happening after the change

I tried to change the sound frequency as well and it didnt help

Revert the "Run in" setting to "DSi mode" then.

Also, does the same issue happen in other ROMs?

Apparently the new update of TW Menu and NDS_Bootstrap doesn't allow to run the English and Spanish patch of Ace Attorney Miles Edgeworth Investigations (The first game, the second works fine). Anyone has an idea on how to fix this?

Delete the "patchOffsetCache" folder in "sd:/_nds/nds-bootstrap/".

i tried this and the music issue is still happening.
I tried an other ROM and the music was normal.
I don’t think it’s related to the ROM because it was working before I update the application.

I think I missed 4 months of update, si there a way to download an older version to check ?

Yes. Download from here, scroll down to see which version you want, and follow the instructions.

Ok I download an older one but I’m afraid to do something wrong in the process,
I suppose that I need to delete every folder related to TW?
I have _nds _gba cheats and roms (I think i will keep this one)
I have that TWiliLight Menu - Game booter.cia, should I delete this one ?

No, you do not need to delete anything. Just overwrite your current nds-bootstrap version.

ok so I found an old save from nov 20 on my computer, swapped the _nds file and it fixed my music issue ;)
I guess I will remember to « not fix it if isnt broke » ahah
But definitely something changed in a recent update that dont make my MKDS europe rom correctly

big thank you for all the time you are spending to develop this jewel application and to answer all of us, I wish you the best in life :)

v21.5.1

Includes nds-bootstrap v0.47.0

What's new?
  • Added IMA-ADPCM .wav support for custom themes!
    • `bgm.wav` file goes in the same place as `bgm.pcm.raw`. In order for the correct file to play, make sure there's no existing `bgm.pcm.raw` file, before adding `bgm.wav`.
    • Regular PCM .wav files are not supported.
Bug fix
  • Fixed where the bootstrap setting wouldn't save in the homebrew's per-game settings.

hey so i ran into a weird issue with widescreen. it works properly and all that, but for games like Pokémon, the pixels look all messed up and hanky. like some characters having no pupils?
is there a fix to this? if not could i just run "widescreen" by stretching the game instead? i feel like it looks better.

This is an unusual question but what could cause a CycloDS Evo (not iEvo) to boot up on a DSiXL from Twilight Menu++ but be unable to see its microSD card? Popping it into a DSLite immediately works.

The craziest thing is that sometimes it just works fine all day no matter how many times I reboot while other times, I can reboot over and over but it'll never see its microSD. Pop it in the DSLite and it'll consistently 100% work.

You can disable widescreen in the per-game settings in the TWLMenu++ ROM menu.
TWiLight Menu++ does not and will not support stretch-only widescreen.

To see the flashcard's microSD contents, hold SELECT and press either Up or Down to switch from the console's SD card.
