v9.1.0: Wii AP-patch, so U don't have to!

Check here on how to update TWiLight Menu++.
It is safe to update to this version using TWiLight Menu++ Updater.

Includes nds-bootstrap v0.23.0.

What's new?
  • AP-patches (up to 99, list here) are now included, so you no longer need to manually AP-patch some of your ROMs.
If the ROM you launch, includes an AP-patch in TWLMenu++, the AP message isn't shown.
(May still show in the Acekard theme.)
AP-patches are applied on-the-fly by nds-bootstrap, so your ROMs will stay clean!
  • Number of supported ROMs for widescreen has been increased from 202 -> 358!
  • GBARunner2 has been updated to this build.
  • DSi/3DS/Saturn theme: Box art paths are no longer stored in memory when loading the ROM list. Speeds up loading the ROM list.
  • DSi/3DS/Saturn theme: ???
  • Settings: Acekard theme is now marked as `Buggy!`
You no longer need to hold L for the following game to work
  • Bakugan: Battle Brawlers

Great progress, once again! Small suggestion: Offer "Games supported with widescreen.txt" as a separate file on github, for those who use the updater. It took me a while to realize that the updated list can be found there. Also "AP-patched games.txt"

Just noticed this while updating my DSi. Would it be possible to move the widescreen folder from "TWiLightMenu.7z/_nds/TWiLightMenu/" to "TWiLightMenu.7z/3DS - CFW users/_nds/TWiLightMenu/"?
I mean, those files are only used on 3DS-systems. Also, you don't even have to change any documentation, since the wiki just says to copy all files in 3DS - CFW users to the root of the SD.

Robz8, would you want to add even more AP patches? I've a list of alternative AP patches on my github due Rudolph/RetroGameFan not working with most of my ROMs (ROMs verified with no-intro.org). (tho it also has some of their AP). Also different regions have different APs too

I have tested the AP patching feature on Profesor Layton: El Futuro Perdido (SPA) (EUR) and everything works fine except the cinematic videos, they have no sound.

EDIT: It now freezes on the Mystery Screen.

The patch for the SPA version isn't included.

Hey Robz8, 3 question, how come the cheats aren't working on other themes other than acekard theme? which by the way is supposed to be buggy? for example dragon quest V only works with the cheat enabled via acekard theme

so i see there is some AP patches included, i updated to the new twilightmenu++ and it seems even with the ap patches dragon quest V still isnt playable with the ""forever on boat"" protection, i also tried Golden Sun Dark Dawn, and it still has a black screen, has there been any work around for that precious game?? thanks!

What region is your Dragon Quest V ROM?
Only the patch for the USA version is currently included.

i use the (US) version, for both golden sun dark dawn and dragon quest V, fully copied the new twilightmenu+ update which included ap patches and more stuff, replaced folder with the 3ds CFW and 3DS sd card users, installed both cia files.

Upload your "nds-bootstrap.ini" file, after launching Dragon Quest V.

v9.1.2: YABFR

Yet another bug fix release. :P

Check here on how to update TWiLight Menu++.
It is safe to update to this version using TWiLight Menu++ Updater.

What's new?
  • If nds-bootstrap isn't found, TWLMenu++ now shows which build isn't found.
  • Added AP-patch for Gyakuten Kenji 2 (Japan).
Bug fix
  • If Bootstrap is set to Release in TWLMenu++ settings, launching a game will no longer boot the Nightly nds-bootstrap build, and vice-versa.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@Neoma Can you try TWLMenu++ v9.1.2?
The previous version was trying to boot a nightly of nds-bootstrap, instead of a release version, or a release, instead of the nightly version.
It's possible either of those might be out of date.

Yes, the on-the-fly patches will work with trimmed ROMs.

Golden Sun Dark Dawn (EUR) clean dump is not working for me. Furthermore, games sometimes boot, sometimes don't and I have to restart my 2DS in order to make a game to run (although it is random, as I said)
