Some GBA games (e.g. FF1+2 Dawn of Sorrow) refuse to load in native mode with a Supercard microSD in Slot-2, just a white screen. Is that normal or is something wrong with my Supercard?

It's normal, because it's likely missing some patches for those games to work.

You mean TWLMenu++ already runs, but launching any game within TWLMenu++ shows white screens?

v27.11.0: Halloween Release
Includes nds-bootstrap v2.1.0 (GBATemp thread)

What's new?

  • @lifehackerhansol: Added AP-fix for Pokémon Moon Black 2 (v4.2.4).
  • Added AP-fix for Kawaii Koinu DS 3 (Rev 1).
  • Added support for 32KB DLDI drivers, allowing old flashcards such as the N-Card to work! (Thanks to @Apache Thunder for testing!)
  • Added autoboot files for the following flashcards:
  • SNEmulDS now reads ROMs from `fat:/roms/snes/`!

Bug fixes

  • Removed loading ARM binaries of booted `.nds` file to the Memory Expansion Pak, in order to avoid possible crashes.
  • The default `Load Bootloader` setting has been reverted from `Direct` to `Thru nds-bs` in order to fix white screen crashes for some users when trying to play a GBA game via GBARunner2 or loading other DS homebrew.
  • If the last-used folder is not found, TWLMenu++ will now start at the SD root on the first page and title.

Known bug

  • Modern homebrew will not init FAT/DLDI with old flashcards such as the N-Card, due to their DLDI drivers being larger than 16KB. This is caused by the homebrew and not TWLMenu++.

Yes exactly , I tried two methods one where I open a game via YSmenu but when I do that it stays stuck when creating a save file. The second method is via twilight++ and when try to open a game ( going to nds map then pressing on the game) I get a white display resulting in me having to restart the device.

You may need to reformat the SD card then: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup.html
If the issue persists, please post a picture of the SD card.
What donor ROM should I use in order to be able to boot Yoshi touch and go on this?
The USA version of the ROM.

Trying Volt White 2 Redux on the newest TWL, it gives me an AP warning, is this normal? I'm using DS mode since apparently DSi mode crashes (according to documentation).

Last twlight update neo geo pocket crash on exit
This is likely caused by the 32KB DLDI support (regardless if using a flashcard or not). It should be fixed in the next version.

v27.11.1

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the support of 32KB DLDI drivers causing some homebrew apps (ex. dumpTool, Safe NAND Manager, GodMode9i, emulators, etc.) to not work correctly and/or not exit back to TWLMenu++.
    • N-Card's DLDI driver is now compressed in the bootstub RAM space.
  • Fixed bootstub not being preserved when booting a homebrew app in DS mode (switched from DSi mode) from flashcards.
  • @lifehackerhansol: Autobooting is now supported for DSTT and it's clones with a non-SDHC microSD card inserted!
  • Wood UI theme: Fixed crash when pressing D-Pad Right with 2 files/folders or less on-screen.

I posted this as a comment on a Git issue, but it's probably better if I put this here. Apologies if this is common knowledge, but I'm having issues running certain games with the AK2i kernel through the 3DS app. They run perfectly fine when launched through TWLM on the cart itself, which is what's confusing about this. Namely, it seems gen 4 Pokemon, Final Fantasy titles, Golden Sun, Metroid, and NSMB are all unable to be launched when the kernel is being used. They either freeze on double white screens, or in the case of Golden Sun, lock up on the "Loading" splash from the kernel.

I've tried several things to fix this, including formatting both of my SD cards again (I found they weren't formatted to 32k clusters, so needed to be done anyway). I could have sworn things were working fine up until I launched the DSi Browser to play around with it, but I could be misremembering. Something I've noticed is that it seems like games are trying to fall back on nds-bootstrap regardless of what loader is set. For example, DSi Enhanced games use it unless I explicitly set them to use the kernel through their own individual properties, and I've found .sav files next to my ROMs, which seems to be a behavior with nds-bs itself. I've tried doing this for the games that fail to run, but it's the same result. I've also totally reinstalled TWLM twice, making sure to wipe out literally everything when doing so, but this got me nowhere.

Hoping this is only a case of incompatibility, and I'm just going crazy. I can't think of what I possibly did to cause this, provided I'm not misremembering.
