Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Anyone have any idea on how to fix the following:
-I just purchased a New 3DS XL and have GM9 and Homebrew freshly installed
-Have Twilight Menu and NDS Bootstrap installed through the universal updater

Been trying to play Sacred Gold & Storm Silver.
After about 30 minutes of playing (but can be random) - I am getting either:
-A red top screen with asterixes
OR
-Games freezing upon entering a battle.

Interesting thing is I have an old 3DS XL which I installed twilight menu back in January and it plays both games fine (longest session 6 hours with no freezing).

What have I done wrong this time around?
I've scoured these forums and havent been able to figure out exactly what to do.

ah i see also this latest update seems to have messed up widescreen when playing a hack the previous version launched in blaze black 2 with widescreen just fine but this new update doesnt seem to let it use widescreen anymore. also off topic when i try to generate a forwarder for redux it gives me an error i dont have with any other game
redo the widescreen cxi tutorial. this happened to me with a previous version, no idea why, but that fixed it.

updated tm on both 3ds and ds, no issues to report. I didn't have the widescreen issue, but I'm not sure if that member was talking about that specific rom, which I think is a pokemon mod. I don't have the game, so I was unable to test that one specifically.

Was this using nds-bootstrap or EOS? If it's nds-bootstrap, it might be the same issue I found a few months back

I did find launching TWiLight Menu++ through EOS then launching games through nds-bootstrap worked.
Nope, this isn't the same issue.
From looking at the log, there's a function that nds-bootstrap can't find, so nds-bootstrap would need to be fixed so it can find the function.

ah ok. Do you know if it still requires the expansion pack or anything. Or is it just a software issue? (talking to robz in discord also)

Ah, I see. Hopefully, we can one day fix the issue I posted. I did find a workaround using launching TWiLight Menu++ through Bagplus using the "EOS" option. So that's something I figured out.

Sorry for being a bit off-topic, but I think this thread is the best place to post this.
I am actually creating some custom icons for my GBA games and will most likely do the same thing for my GB and GBC roms. When a few of them are done I'll create a GitHub repo so everyone can download and use them.
Would anyone here be interested in this or maybe even contribute?

Hey guys if you have a New 3DS or New 2DS remember to lower the CPU speed of DS games or you are gonna run into timing issues. Dunno why DS games roms don't run by default with the lower speed. Or maybe that was me? Maybe I set it for a higher speed or something?

Actually, my DSi SD cards been getting corrupted pretty often, (No, i dont have the setting that can corrupt my sd card enabled) while playing Smt DS, The rom ether ends up red or graphics get corrupted heavily and then crashes
