I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but in Nintendo DSiWare Management it says there are 727 open blocks in System Memory,
and 60,127 open blocks on the SD Card.

When I tried to install DSiMenu++ initially I was using an older version, but I upgraded just this morning, and I tried reinstalling with that, but it had no effect as mentioned earlier.

The DSiWare should appear in DSiMenu++.

Why SysNAND, though.
Even on SDNAND, you can still see them on HOME Menu. Just follow the launcharg method.

You can either run a cheat code or patch the ROM. Because you're using a ROM, it's probably best that you use WfcPatcher. You will need a WEP or unsecured network connection, though. A phone hotspot should work too. If you can't use a hotspot, you may be able to set up a secondary connection on your WiFi router, and with MAC filtering (for security) if possible.
